Overview

• Move beyond simple arranging and step into the role of a floral architect. In this intensive masterclass, you will learn to construct an invisible structural armature to support a sophisticated, asymmetrical design. You will create the dynamic, arching form seen here, using techniques to loop and manipulate large Aspidistra leaves and position structural Pussy Willow branches to defy gravity. We will thread in the finest seasonal blooms—including textured Hyacinth, premium pink Garden Roses, structural White Anemones, and Clematis. This workshop is designed to teach you not just how to place flowers, but how to control their form for an impactful visual statement.

• What You Will Learn:

  • Building a physical armature for structure and support (non-foam technique).

  • Advanced manipulation and looping of foliage for dramatic line work.

  • Designing with strong asymmetrical and negative space principles.

  • Professional care and handling protocols for delicate spring bulbs and woody branches.

• Materials Included: All flowers (tulips, hyacinth, anemones, garden roses, clematis, pussy willow), foliage, design tools, and the keepsake, brushed gold metal container.

Come alone or with a friend or group! No experience needed. 

This event will take place at Lake Zurich Florist and is BYOB, however, light refreshments will be available.
